I have been in practice in Springfield, since 1985. I went to Medical School at the University of California, at San Francisco. I performed my internship and residency at Los Angeles County Medical Center. My goal is to enable people to live the best life possible. I have a special interest in sports, nutrition and preventative medicine. I enjoy our successful new weight loss program where I can help people become more active and feel better. I am a member of the Lane County Medical Society, LIPP, ACAM - American College for the Advancement in Medicine, Oregon Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Academy of Sports Medicine, American Academy for Anti-Aging and the American Bariatric Society. I am on staff at both McKenzie-Willamette and Sacred Heart Hospitals.
EDUCATION 1978-1982 Medical School at University of California, San Francisco. 1974-1978 Premedical education at University of California, San Diego. 1972-1974 Linguistics study at American River College, Sacramento, California SPORTS BACKGROUND 1973-1984 Daily exposure to the training habits, injuries, rehabilitation and psyche of an elite Olympic Weight Lifter. 1984 Olympic village physician at the Los Angeles Olympics. 1980 Team Physician/trainer San Francisco Women's Rugby Team. 1979 Team Physician- United States Olympic Weightlifting Team at the Spartaciade Competition in Leningrad, USSR. 1979 Team Physician- United States Olympic Weightlifting Team at the Europe vs America competition in Tempere, Finland. PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS 2003 Glider Pilot Rating 2002 Performed first Airshow season 2002 Commercial Pilot License, Airshow Competency Card 2001 Private Pilot License 1988-1995 Competitor in the Olympic Sport of Dressage (Equestrian). 1992 State Champion International Level Dressage. 1981 California State Champion 52kg Class - Olympic Weight Lifting.
