Doherty Gilchrist, MD

    Doherty was born in Fargo, North Dakota. She went to college at the University of Iowa and received a BS in Biochemistry. She went on to study medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno, then onto her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Doherty became board certified in Internal Medicine in 1997. She and her husband Andrew Gilchrist, MD also an Internal Medicine specialist, had a Medical Practice together in Newport, prior to moving to the Eugene area. Doherty also worked in Medford at the Medford Medical Clinic and in the Rogue River area at the Rogue River Health Clinic.

Doherty prides herself in keeping her patients healthy and out of the hospital.

Doherty has 2 children who she adores. Her son will be entering the first grade and her daughter is now 9 months old.
